Forum aims

  • Barriers and issues facing people with disabilities in the area of sexuality and suggestions on how disability service providers can respond to these issues
  • Accessing the Sex Industry (this is only one aspect of the forum)
    • This includes barriers and realistic expectations for people with diverse abilities
  • Research outcomes regarding the sexual and relationship needs of people with physical disabilities
  • Establishing relationships and current resources available
  • Existing policies outlining the provision of support in the area of sexuality and relationships

  • Dave Glazebrook - CEO Impact Leisure Association will discuss the journey and challenges regarding the development of a dating agency for people with an Intellectual disability
  • Dr George Taleperos: An academic and consultant who has a PhD in sexuality. He will outline aspects of his research regarding sexuality and the needs and wants from people with a range of disabilities.
  • Christian Vega: Christian is both a sex worker and community development worker. He will discuss the sex industry and the possible challenges facing people with a disability who wish to access this industry.
