Action for Community Living (ACL) is offering this FREE learning package "Keys to Success – Managing Self-Directed Supports”. It is designed for people with a disability and/or their family member/carer to help them to gain more control over their supports and services so they can have more say in achieving what they want in life.
The program
Action for Community Living is offering this Learning Package – “Managing Self-Directed Supports” to help you achieve what you want out of life.
Are you interested in learning how to have more control over your supports and services so you can have more say in achieving what you want in life? This is a new, free training program to learn what’s possible – so you can have more say in gaining a better quality of life.
This course is the fourth in a series of four learning packages
Overview of the four Learning Packages:
Package 1: Families as planning partners
Package 2: Having a say in planning—being a self-advocate
Package 3: Leading your life
Package 4: Managing self-directed support
ACL is also keen for you to contribute and to get your feedback on this pilot program to help develop it further.
They'd like your expression of interest, so they can determine the best location and day to suit all participants in each group.
Who is this Learning Package for?
- people who already have an Individual Support Package (ISP) and are interested in having more control of their ISP
AND/OR
- people who have completed Learning Package 1 (Families as planning partners) or Learning Package 3 (Leading your life) [note: these packages are being conducted by VALID]
