Our Infection Control short course covers the following topics:

What is infection control?
Chain of infection
When to use standard precautions
When and how to apply each of the following standard precautions:

  • Hand hygiene, before and after every episode of patient contact
  • The use of personal protective equipment
The safe use and disposal of sharps
Routine environmental cleaning
Reprocessing of reusable medical equipment and instruments
Respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette
Waste management
Appropriate handling of linen
Contact precautions
Droplet and airborne precautions

There are no prerequisites for enrolling in this course.

We deliver the Infection Control short course via a three hour face-to-face training session.
