I would like to introduce Field’s new Compliance Manager, Yannis Souvan.

I asked Yannis a few questions so we could learn a bit about his role with Field, and get to know him a bit better.

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT FIELD?
Compliance Manager – it’s hard to summarise this! My role is to ensure our organisation meets the requirements of the legislation enforced by our governing body, and that we meet the relevant guidelines with our State Government funding contract. This ensures that Field can deliver high quality training and assessment services to its students.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO COME AND WORK WITH FIELD?
New challenge – I was interested in the not-for-profit space

MY HOBBIES ARE
Running my own business on the side (consulting in the VET sector). I also enjoy keeping fit.

DO YOU HAVE A NICKNAME?
I don’t have a nickname.

I HAVE…
Two cats – Astro and Snow.

I LIKE WORKING AT FIELD BECAUSE…
Of the good they are doing for the sector – it’s not just about making money like other RTOs!

WHEN I WAS YOUNGER…
I used to live in Queensland with my family.

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE SECTOR…
I would like to see the Vocational Education and Training sector further refined – RTOs need to be providing the highest quality training that is closely linked to industry – this will ensure that graduates are qualified and highly skilled, which is something every industry needs.
