WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT BEING A TRAINER WITH FIELD?

I like training with Field because it is a small RTO and is very personalised and supportive of its students. Field also has excellent resources and this attracted me as well.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR TRAINING STYLE?

I would describe my training style as believing that students learn from teachers and teachers learn from students, we all can learn from one another.

WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO GET ACROSS TO STUDENTS ABOUT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES?

I encourage students to empower people with disabilities, support independence and choice and ‘do with, not for’.

Now we would like to find out a bit about you:

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE?

My favourite movie is Steel Magnolias.  It’s old and corny but a story of love, friendship and loyalty between a group of women.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

My hobbies include reading, knitting, cryptic crosswords (a work in progress) and doting on my grandchildren.

I LOVE WORKING FOR FIELD BECAUSE…

I love working for Field because we’re a team.  Management, admin and trainers work well together and there’s always lots of support.

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE SECTOR…

I would love to see the sector offer the same opportunities to everyone.

We all should be able to access buildings, catch a train, use an ATM, whatever it is we choose to do.  I also think it would be fantastic if the sector had a trained and quality workforce.
